 David Calder, has gained plenty of international experience in a short period of time by reaching finals at the last three world championships. He also won the 1996 pairs world junior title and a gold medal at a 1999 World Cup event in Vienna. Calder qualified Canada' men's pairs boats for the Games by placing eighth with partner Morgan Crooks at the world championships last year. He'll race the men's eight at the Olympics.
