Canadian men's hoops team rolls to gold

AMSTERDAM (CP) -- Tournament MVP Patrick Anderson had 25 points to lead the Canadian men's wheelchair basketball team to the gold medal with a 57-51 win against Great Britain at a pre-paralympic tournament.

"I'm proud of our guys, they had a great tournament," said head coach Mike Frogley.

"We do not get many opportunities to play the European countries, so this is very valuable experience for our guys, leading up to the 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games in October."
