Hungary destroys Russia in title game
 SYDNEY, Australia (AP) -- No blood in the pool this time, just a gold medal at long last for Hungary's water polo team.
 The Hungarians won their record seventh water polo gold medal -- the first since 1976 -- with a 13-6 victory over exhausted Russia at the Sydney Games.

Water polo struggles for funds
 SYDNEY, Australia (AP) -- The U.S. men's water polo team struggled in Sydney -- but then again, it struggles back at home, too.
 With the best leagues, and some top U.S. players like Chris Humbert and Kyle Kopp, in Europe, it's hard to call a practice, watch film or go to dinner with the national team.

Yugoslavia defeats Spain for bronze
 SYDNEY, Australia (AP) -- The all-time leading scorer in Olympic water-polo history is leaving the world's biggest stage just as Yugoslavia is returning to it.
 The sport's top scorer ever, Manuel Estiarte, put Spain ahead 2-0 early, but Yugoslavia overwhelmed the defending water polo gold medalists 8-3 on Sunday to win bronze at the Sydney Games.
