Coke not jumping on Sale/Pelletier wagon

By STEVE SIMMONS -- Toronto Sun

SALT LAKE CITY -- Not everyone in the world is in love with Jamie Sale and David Pelletier.

At least according to one corporation.

Sale and Pelletier appeared in photographs from their Friday news conference announcing their gold medals all over the world with bottles of Arrowhead Water placed in front of them.

 Only one problem.

Arrowhead Water doesn't happen to be an Olympic sponsor and non-IOC sponsored goods are not supposed to be in the forefront at Olympic venues.

Apparently, the president of Coca-Cola Ltd., seeing the photo on the cover of the New York Times, was so incensed he called IOC president, Jacques Rogge, and complained about it.

Having been photographed with Arrowhead Water, perhaps agent Craig Fenech would be wise to sign a deal for Sale and Pelletier with the water company.
