  Becky Kellar was initially a ringette player because there was no hockey available to her in her hometown. She started playing hockey at age 12 and continued until she received a scholarship at Brown University in the U.S.

  She played for the Bears from 1993 to 1997 (she was team MVP in 1996) and has developed into one of the stingiest defensive defencemen in women's hockey. She was also on the varsity softball squad for four seasons.

  Kellar was a member of the 1998 Olympic team and helped Canada to world titles the following three years. She has a business degree from Brown University and plans to get a masters after her hockey career.

Feb. 21: Canada won gold medal with a 3-2 decision over the U.S. finishing with 5-0 record, while outscoring opponents 35-5.
Feb. 19: Canada def. Finland 7-3 in semifinal play, advancing to Thursday's final against the U.S.
Feb. 16: Canada def. Sweden 11-0, raising record to 3-0 in Group A of preliminary round.
Feb. 13: Canada defeated Russia 7-0, raising record to 2-0 in Group A of preliminary round.
Feb. 11: Canada opened preliminary round with a 7-0 win over Kazakhstan.
