Marc Lamothe made 34 saves to earn his second consecutive shutout, as Grand Rapids extended its unbeaten streak to eight games with 3-0 victory over Houston on Friday night.
The Griffins are 6-0-2 since starting the season with just one win in their first five games.
Mark Mowers had a goal and an assist for Grand Rapids, giving him 18 points in 13 games this year.
Tim Skarperud and
Bryan Adams also scored.
Houston was shut out for the second straight night, and is 1-2-1 since their 11-1-0 start.
