Backstreet's Brian goes solo for film

Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell is going solo for an indie movie soundtrack.

Brian will sing the title song for the film "Olive Juice". He also co-wrote the song. The Backstreet Boys' sugary sweet song "The Perfect Fan" will also appear on the soundtrack, MTV reports.

The movie stars Brian's wife Leighanne Wallace and is a romantic comedy that revolves around a pet shop. Lil' Tyk Thomas, Brian and Leighanne's Chihuahua, which was kidnapped by a fan last summer, also stars in the movie.

In addition to singing for the film, Brian will make a cameo appearance in "Olive Juice" along with his Backstreet pal AJ McLean.

Brian will briefly grace the screen as a horse-drawn carriage driver, while AJ can be spotted acting as a DJ in the film.

"Olive Juice" was filmed in Orlando. It will premiere on Feb. 2 in Orlando and run for a short time in Florida before it comes out on video.

There's no word yet on whether the movie's soundtrack will be released as a CD, but it's possible that Brian and Leighanne could put it out through their company, Brileigh Productions.
