Backstreet's Howie Dorough has tapped a long list of music stars for a Lupus benefit.
Marc Anthony, Lionel Richie, Aaron Carter, A.J. McLean, Nick Carter, Jon Secada, Deborah Gibson, Carole King, John Sines Jr., Barry Williams, Polyanna Dorough (Howie's sister), Chelsea Herring (Howie's niece), and Howie himself are all set to perform at Lupus 2001, Launch reports.
The concert is a benefit to raise money for the Dorough Lupus Foundation. It will be held at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida on June 1.
On June 2, Sea World will host a dinner, silent auction, a private show with Shamu the killer whale, and a private concert with Howie to raise more money for the charity. The auction will include articles donated by athletes, fashion designers, and other celebrities.
Howie funded the Dorough Lupus Foundation in memory of his sister, who died of Lupus in 1998. The Foundation raises money for Lupus research and education and also provides financial help to people who can't afford treatment for the disease.
