The four group members keep promising a new album but they keep getting distracted.

The third Spice Girls' album (tentatively titled Spice 2000) isn't ready yet but that doesn't mean the girls are concentrating on finishing it, Worldpop reports.

Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham) is being considered for a role opposite Jim Carrey in the sequel to 1994's "The Mask".

Sporty Spice (Mel C) is busy promoting her solo album "Northern Star".

"This year I'm going to be devoting all my attention to my solo record." Mel said at the American Music Awards. "I'm going to be out on the road touring Europe, Southeast Asia and the beautiful United States of America."

Meanwhile, Scary Spice (Mel G) is dealing with divorce.

A spokeswoman for the Spice Girls said the group is still finding time to work on the new album though.
