What will happen at today's Brit Awards?
The Spice Girls and Geri Halliwell are planning to outdo each other at the Brit Awards today.
The Spice Girls, who are being honoured with A Lifetime Achievement Award, plan to start their performance by emerging from a big yellow spaceship, Dotmusic reports.
Meanwhile, Geri, who quit the group in 1998, is also planning a show-stopping entrance.
"I've just seen Geri's set and it's totally outrageous," a Brits spokesman told Dotmusic. "There are these huge pink inflated legs with high heels and a glimpse of Union Jack, and between the legs there's a staircase and that's where she comes in."
Geri is also expected to bring in shopping carts with packages filled with "Girl Powder".
Although Geri already announced that she won't join the Spice Girls when they accept their award, the spokesman insists that there's still a possibility that "Ginger Spice" could appear.
"That's very much under negotiation at the moment," he said about a possible on-stage reconciliation.
Meanwhile, the UK pop band Steps are planning a sparkling entrance of their own.
Female group members Lisa, Faye and Claire are expected to wear diamond encrusted outfits worth over a million dollars.
The Sun reports that the girls and their expensive dresses will be protected by security guards throughout the night.
"The only time they'll be on their own is when they go to the loo," a spokesperson for the band told The Sun.
Although the group isn't performing, Steps is being given a special award for high domestic sales of their album.
The Sun also has Brit fever and is busy predicting possible winners at the glamorous awards ceremony.
According to the UK paper, S Club 7 will win Best British Newcomer, Britney Spears will lose for Best International Newcomer in favour of Macy Gray, and Best Pop Act will go to Five.
