Posh's luggage still missing

The saga of Posh Spice's missing luggage continues.

Last week, it was reported that Victoria Beckham's (Posh) luggage was lost at the Heathrow airport when it was being transferred to Manchester. The original report said the Spice Girl was extremely upset because a demo of new Spice Girls songs was lost along with the bags, and the group members were worried about the songs being downloaded onto the Internet.

This week, Reuters reports that British Airways has begun investigating the theft and plans to compensate Victoria, who's said to have lost three $3,161 designer suitcases.

"We have offered compensation, and it has been accepted," said a British Airways spokeswoman.

The rumour is that Victoria -- who originally demanded free flights for herself, husband and child for life -- was offered more than $100,000 (Cdn) in compensation.

"Victoria was very distraught when she realized that her things had been targeted in such a way," a family friend was quoted as saying in a newspaper report.

The same report went on to say that the missing suitcases held Victoria's clothes, song lyrics and other personal items.

The British Airways spokeswoman said a "couple of items" were found at the Heathrow airport.

"We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused and have apologized to her," the spokesperson told Reuters. "We are taking the matter very seriously and our investigators are working with police."
