Spice Girls are No. 1 again in U.K.
The Spice Girls' latest single shot to the top of the U.K. charts making the group the first girl-group to have nine British No. 1 singles.
"Holler/Let Love Lead the Wya," the double A-side single from the girls is the first release from their upcoming album "Forever," which will be released on November 7, Reuters reports.
The only other artists who have more British No. 1 singles are Madonna, Cliff Richard, Elvis and the Beatles.
"We are absolutely thrilled at being number one again because we've been away for such a long time," Mel C said. "A big thank you to all our loyal fans who have stuck with us. It's absolutely brilliant."
The Spice Girls bounced onto the charts in 1996 with their single "Wannabe" and their debut album "Spice". The group then released their second album, "Spiceworld" in 1997.
"Forever" is the first album from the Spice Girls that doesn't include the former Ginger Spice who left the Spices to pursue a solo career.
In more Spice news, Mel B is already divorced.
The rumour is that Scary Spice and Jimmy Gulzar were divorced four months ago, dotmusic reports.
The couple were given a divorce on June 12 in a London Divorce Court. Grounds for the divorce were reported to be Mel's adultery with another man.
"Yes, she and Jimmy are divorced," a friend of Mel's said. "The Reason this was all kept so secret is that they didn't want any publicity."
Mel and Jimmy met when Jimmy was employed as a dancer on the Spice Girl's world tour in 1998.
