The earliest Spice Girls recordings are being released.
Alan Glass, who worked as the U.K. pop group's songwriter, plans to release the first two Spice Girls songs ever, Music 365 reports.
Glass was the group's original songwriter for four months in 1995 and has kept the original recordings to himself.
"I've kept these songs private for the past five years," said Glass. "But now I think it's only right they should be made public."
The songwriter explained his reasons for releasing the songs now, saying that the public has been giving the girls a hard time since their latest album, "Forever," failed. Glass said the first two recordings will "show once and for all that the Spice Girls are great singers".
He went on to say that he thinks the Spice Girls would have maintained their success if they'd continued with their pop formula instead of moving into R&B with "Forever".
