Now, word comes that the five British stars have just signed a deal to publish a shallow, bubblegum pop book. The book, to be called "Girl Power!," will be written and published within a month, The New York Post reported.

"It's the equivalent of a quickie book, but they're writing it themselves," Steve Schragis head of Carol Publishing told The Post. "Each one is writing a section."

Aside from musings from the U.K.'s most popular music group, the book will also be filled with private photos, in color.

The Spice Girls have taken the music industry by storm, setting records recently after the first four single off their debut album, Spice, hit No. 1 atop the British charts.

They're also set to host "Saturday Night Live" April 12.
