Maybe he is not such a Bad Boy
By JACKIE BURNS -- Toronto Sun
Danielle Stewart was prepared to become a lifetime volunteer at Bad Boy Furniture if it meant getting her hands on a ticket to last night's sold-out Spice Girls concert.
Her persistent calls to Mayor Mel Lastman's family business pleading for help touched the family so much, the mayor decided to give up his own ticket.
"I said that I would work at this store for the rest of my life," said the 11-year-old as she picked up her sixth-row ticket.
"She won the hearts of my family," Lastman said.
Lastman's son Blayne, who accompanied Danielle to the show, called her a "fantastic date."
But once the concert was over, he was glad to call it a night.
"I believe in girl power but I can't wait to get home and take two Tylenol," he joked.
Danielle said seeing the concert was worth volunteering the rest of her life. "It was great," she said.
