Sisters spiced for life, thanks to Sun

By JACKIE BURNS -- Toronto Sun

Erin Williams snagged the most sought-after Spice Girls' souvenir yesterday -- and she didn't have to pay a cent.

The 11-year-old chilled out with the girls in their dressing room after they appeared live on MuchMusic's Intimate and Interactive -- and the memories will keep her spiced for life.

Williams -- the lucky winner of The Toronto Sun's meet-and-greet contest -- traded some girl talk with the stars as they signed T-shirts for her and sister Michelle, 7, who tagged along.

The two Toronto girls were the only ones lucky enough to nab some moments of the girls' time before they were rushed off to their Spicemobile.

"When you watch them on TV you never think that you're actually going to meet them," Williams said, still shaking from the rush.

"They're really pretty close up."

Williams, still upset over the departure of Ginger from the group, decided to put the girls on the hot seat and ask about the sudden departure.

"I asked them if they missed Ginger and they said 'yeah' because they're best friends."

And Williams wasn't worried about hurting some Spice feelings when she singled out Baby from the four-member pop group.

"I told Emma she was my favorite Spice Girl and she said 'Oh, thank you.' "

Her sister Michelle, too shy for questions, left all the serious Spice talk up to her older.

And for Williams' friends, who she thinks won't believe their pal met the girls in the flesh, there will be photographic evidence, courtesy of Virgin Records.
