Spice Girls to play largest show yet
By RICHARD JOHN -- AllPop
The Spice Girls are planning the largest concert of their career.
Dotmusic is reporting that the quartet are in talks to play the 72,500 capacity Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales as part of their summer 2000 tour.
The concert would eclipse the Girls' previous largest concert. That show was the band's September 1998 homecoming show at London's Wembley Stadium, which drew an estimated 60,000 fans.
Details of the rest of the tour are still sketchy and should become more clear the other side of the Millennium. Prior to the tour, the Girls will play a series of Christmas concerts.
The famous foursome are currently working on their new album in London's Abbey Road Studios. Mel C., aka Sporty Spice, is taking the month of October to promote her forthcoming solo album, 'Northern Star'.
