Robbie tries to settle case
Robbie Williams is trying to end the plagiarism case against him.
Robbie has offered $46,152 (Cdn) to Loudon Wainwright III and Ludlow Music, Dotmusic reports.
Wainwright and Ludlow Music want "the appropriate share of the composition that should be allotted" from Robbie's song "Jesus In A Campervan" that has lyrics similar to the song "I Am The Way" by Wainwright.
"Worldwide income attributable to 'Jesus In A Campervan' amounts at present to approximately £80,000 [$184,562 Cdn] and income attributable to the lyrics would therefore amount to £40,000 [$92,273] of which Robbie Williams has offered half, i.e. £20,000,[$46,152]" said Robbie's spokeswoman.
