Robbie makes kids cry
Robbie Williams has thousands of young U.K. fans, but the singer had children in tears recently.
Robbie's new, controversial video, "Rock DJ", was screened in a British mall, and shoppers were not pleased with the special viewing, dotmusic reports.
Shoppers called the video, which shows Robbie undressing and then tearing off his skin and throwing it at girls, "disgusting and offensive".
The video was shown on 92 big-screen TVs throughout the Bargate Centre in Southampton, and some children were seen running from the centre in tears after seeing the video.
"I stood there open-mouthed, not believing what I was seeing," said one mother. "I was totally shocked. It's irresponsible to show it."
But Andy Merryfield, the mall's manager, didn't apologize for showing the video.
"If he's happy to make the video, who are we to refuse to show it?" he said.
