Pop star excluded
U.K. pop star, Robbie Williams, isn't eligible for the Brit music awards.
According to Dotmusic, Williams, who is enjoying success at the top of the charts this week, is excluded from the major awards because his album was nominated last year.
The only award he can be nominated for is best British single and video.
Shania Twain is also being excluded from the best international female solo award because her album was released too early to qualify for this year's awards.
Even though Robbie and Shania are two of the most successful musicians in the U.K. now, Brits executive producer Lisa Anderson said they can't be nominated because it's too late to change the rules.
