Robbie's on a mission
U.K. pop star Robbie Williams pledged to help kids.
The English Sun reported that Robbie is the new face of UNICEF and promised to make a strong commitment to it during a press conference at the Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood in London.
Robbie plans to make a trip to Sri Lanka next year for UNICEF.
He smeared paint-prints over his face as he greeted a crowd of children.
He encouraged the children to follow their dreams just like he did.
"They need to have a dream and stay strong to that dream. That is exactly what I have had to tell myself. I'm lucky. I've got a talent. I can sell records. I want to do all I can to help," Robbie said.
Robbie was also in good spirits when asked about his hopes for his single "Millennium" to be played at the new Millennium Dome on New Year's eve.
The singer said he's not concerned about it and he's not worried about whether or not he'll have a number 1 Christmas single.
