Homework Blues
Aaron Pearcey, age 12
contest winner
Oh No! It's Sunday night
Where did time go?
I'd better do homework
Right after this show
Mmmm let's see now
well on Friday night
I played with my brother
ended up in a fight
Ok now on to Saturday
lots of homework to do
But I have practice for Soccer
and of course football too!
At night is the time
to relax and unwind
no desire to do homework
ah, still lots of time
Ok Sunday's the day
We play football at one
and right after that
my homework will be done
So off to Game Day
you say to do what?
We're off to the field
to KICK Mustang butt!
Get home and go shower
eat, and turn on some tunes
Oh yeah, my homework
I'll do it real soon
As time quickly passes
I realize too late
No homeworks been done
On thin ice I skate!
My Mom's gonna kill me
the teachers will freak
Why can't they understand
I'm too tired and weak
So now I am grounded
friends nowhere in sight
no sports, only books
Til I finally get it right!
More creative
writing.
