Is It Me?
Beth Byrd
Contest Winner
When I look in the mirror,
I see a girl who is lost,
A girl that just doesn't fit in,
Then I ask myself,
Is she me?
My hope is very thin.
She always seems to wonder,
What people think about her,
However did she sin?
I can't go anywhere,
And just be myself,What am I doing wrong?
Then I realize I just need self confidence,
And to sing a sweet song.
I start to hum,
And suddenly my face gets much clearer,
I don't have to ask, "Who is she?"
Because deep inside and out,
I've always known it was me.
