Introducing Untamed
By SARAH PARKER -- Special to AllPop
There's a hint of success in the air for Toronto-based, all girl pop group "Untamed".
Their debut album "Go All Out", released March 12, which features a mix of hip-hop, salsa and pop, ends up sounding like a cross between S Club 7 and the Spice Girls.
Not bad, coming from sisters Alithea (18) and Daniella(14) Watters, and friend Kim Moffat (18), whose hard work and dedication has paid-off.
Their first single, "You're Not Gonna Score", about a boy who continually calls their cell phone, was released last September and has made some radio success. The video for this single can be seen on MuchMusic and on YTV's "HitList".
"Go All Out", has the makings of a great album. Although lacking a strong beat, several tracks including "Nothing in This World", "Gotta Lotta Love", "Name In The Sand", and "You're the One" have what it takes to compete with today's heavyweights in pop music.
Their second single, "Gotta Lotta Love", about finding commitment in a relationship, was recently released in Canada and beat out Ludicrous in a Showdown on Edmonton's Power95FM.
"Untamed" can be seen performing live in Toronto at Reilly's on May 4 and at the Markham Theatre on June 28.
