For the first time in the series, Karl Dykhuis got Hamilton on the board first, when his point shot beat Rochester netminder Ryan Miller five minutes and 48 seconds in to make it 1-0 'Dogs. But, the Amerks tied it just one minute and nine seconds later, when on the power-play, Jason Pominville scored his league-leading ninth goal of the playoffs, to even the score at one, and that set the stage for this...

  • Wednesday May 5th, 2004 - After bouncing the Barons from the in game six of the divisional semi-finals in Cleveland on Sunday afternoon, the Hamilton Bulldogs returned to the ice at Copps Coliseum last night, when they played host to the Rochester Americans in game one of the North Division Finals. With the game scoreless through 20 minutes of play, the Amerks jumped out in front less than three minutes into the second, when Paul Gaustad surprised 'Dogs backstop J-F Damphousse to make it 1-0...

  • Sunday May 2nd, 2004 - Following a 4-1 win over the Bulldogs in game five of the North Division Semi-Finals at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton on Friday night, the Barons returned home to the Gund Arena in Cleveland on Sunday afternoon hoping to once again stave off elimination still down three-games-to-two in the best-of-seven series. Shane Joseph opened scoring at the 6:19 mark of the first with his fifth goal of the playoffs, to make the score 1-0 Cleveland through 20 minutes. But, Hamilton would bounce back by scoring the lone goal of the second, it came at the 10:52 mark, when Chris Higgins netted his third post-season goal to make it 1-1 through two. With the game still tied at one midway through the third, the Bulldogs buried the Barons with just eight minutes and 13 seconds remaining in regulation time, the hero - captain Benoit Gratton, who's first goal of the Calder Cup Playoffs made it 2-1 for the visitors...

  • Friday April 30th, 2004 - Following back-to-back wins over the Barons in games three and four of the North Division Semi-Finals at the Gund Arena on Tuesday and Thursday nights, the Bulldogs returned to Copps Coliseum in Hamilton for game five of the best-of-seven series on Friday night, with a three-games-to-one lead in the best-of-seven series, and a chance to end Cleveland's season. But, when the Bulldogs were assessed a five minute major late in the opening period, the Barons made them pay.   • Friday, March 26th, 2004 - After splitting a two-game mini-set on "The Rock" last weekend, the Maple Leafs and Bulldogs returned to the ice on Friday night, to finish off their 12-game season series.
