DICK ELLIS TROPHYOutstanding Male TeamThis Award honours the significant contributions to sport of Dick Ellis, who lost his life in a drowning accident in 1974. A lawyer and the second president of the Canadian Rugby Union, Dick Ellis was the most dedicated and influential sport figure in the game of rugby at the time of his death. His contribution to sport and the game of rugby earned him the Union's Jack Patterson Memorial Trophy. This Award was once presented to Canada's best team of the year, male or female, but was changed in 1995 to honour Canada's outstanding male team of the year.Past Recipients
