Multiple Sport CoachRosalina Haines is known in her community as "a coach who cares". A member of Sandy Bay First Nation, Haines' positive attitude and commitment to athlete development have had a tremendous impact on her community's sport and recreation programs. As a 3M NCCP certified coach in track and field and baseball, Haines has continued to offer her coaching expertise over the past eleven years. In addition to track and field and baseball, she coaches badminton, girl's ice hockey, floor hockey and volleyball. When Haines isn't coaching, she provides leadership by overseeing community activities such as pow-wow dancing, square dancing, modeling and life skills programs. Leading by example, Haines promotes a balanced lifestyle through healthy active living. A genuine concern for the health and well-being of her community's youth, Haines is involved with organizations that address youth justice and child protection. As a coach and committed community member, Haines has had a profound impact on the lives of Aboriginal youth.
