EDMONTON – Will the real Kate Middleton please stand up?
OK, not quite “the” Kate Middleton, but if you have that name, you could score some royal treatment at a local hotel.
A night in the ritzy royal suite at the Westin in Edmonton and breakfast in bed prepared by a chef in your room is up for the taking, for the first Catherine or Kate Middleton to show valid ID at the hotel's front desk.
"We decided it would be nice if all of the Kate Middletons in the area got to participate in this and got to be treated like princesses as well," said Louise Edwards, executive assistant at the Westin.
All Catherine or Kate Middletons will get a free suite, but the first will win the royal package.
The winning Kate will also be able to watch the wedding live from the royal suite.
"We'll be able to find it for them on TV," said Edwards.
Middleton's wedding to Prince William is scheduled for April 29, is expected to draw a worldwide viewing audience of up to two billion people. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. London time.
Tourism London predicts more than 600,000 people will fly in from around the world to be on site as Middleton marries into the House of Windsor.
The wedding has an estimated price tag of 30 million pounds, or $48 million US.
