LONDON - Kate Middleton still hasn't revealed what she'll be wearing when she ties the knot with Prince William on Friday, and the wedding mystery also extends to her hair.

In London's chic Chelsea neighbourhood, where Kate often shops, Middleton's stylist Richard Ward said he couldn't confirm anything. As a member of Kate's entourage, Ward is bound by protocol and is under strict orders from Clarence House, the official residence of Prince Charles.

"The Middletons have been coming here for a long time, about eight years", said Ward.

"The mother was the first one to come. Of course she brought Kate, like a lot of mothers do eventually."

Ward, 43, has seen the 29-year-old future princess grow. Until recently she lived not far from the salon with her younger sister Pippa, 27. It was Ward who styled Kate's hair for her official engagement photo shoot. Her 'do even has a name.

"It's the Chelsea blow dry," he said. "It's glossy, long locks and shiny hair - very organic. It has swish in it."

How is Kate in person? "She's like any other girl," said Ward. "She's a lot of fun, a very caring person, and has an incredible sense of humour. She's very trusting, a lovely, lovely girl."

And does Kate confide in her hairdresser?

"Yes absolutely, but would you want your hairdresser to tell me your secrets? This relationship is a very personal one, it has to stay likewise."

Despite their relationship, Ward learned of Middleton's engagement at the same time as everyone else. He said he was thrilled at the news.

"I hoped they would," he said. "I was so pleased. I'm sure that any girl going out with a guy for eight years, deep down hopes he's gonna ask."

Ward reportedly told the London telegraph that Kate will wear her hair loose. A team of six stylists will work on Middleton's hair at the Goring Hotel, where the bride-to-be will spend the morning of her wedding. All indications are that Ward has given stylist James Pryce the task to getting Kate ready for the big event.

Clarence House will release more details about Kate's glam team Friday morning on the Twitter account @ClarenceHouse.
