SUMMER JOB CONTEST

My best summer job

My best summer job was when I was 16 years old, working at Arundel Lodge on Lake Muskoka. I was one of nine teenagers staffing the kitchen and lodge.

We partied every night to the wee hours, and still woke early to serve breakfast to 60 people.

With free time till lunch, we'd lounge on the beach or go for a walk. Afternoons were great under the sun or in the lake.

On Mondays we'd all go to Gravenhurst to cash or deposit our cheques and go shopping. The owner and management were great, and so was the season end bonus!
