Standard Radio Hamilton partners with Hamilton 2003
Hamilton, ON Ð Standard Radio Hamilton has solidified itself as an important community supporter by partnering with the Hamilton 2003 Road World Cycling Championships. This key Hamilton regional media source has signed on as the Official Radio Media Partner of the 2003 Road World Cycling Championships. The partnership involves promotion of the Worlds and the Festival through commercials and on air interviews on the Standard Hamilton stations 102.9 K-Lite FM, Oldies 1150 and 820 CHAM Country. Standard Stations in London and St. Catharines will also provide promotional support and advertising for the Road World Championships.
102.9 K-Lite FM, Oldies 1150 and 820 CHAM Country have long been an important media stream in Hamilton and have supported various events throughout the region. In partnering with an event of such magnitude and recognizing its importance in the community, they continue to show their community character.

The Road World Cycling Championships will be staged in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada from October 6 to 12, 2003. Hamilton, a city of 500,000, is located on the western edge of Lake Ontario, roughly midway between Niagara Falls and Toronto, and approximately a one-hour drive from Buffalo, New York. Over 800 athletes from over 50 different countries will compete in ten different races. There are two disciplines Ð the individual time trial and the road race with five different classifications, elite men and women, junior men and women, as well as Under 23 men. It will be only the sixth time the Road World Championships have been held outside Europe and the second time in Canada, the first occasion was 1974 in Montreal.
