Sabres sign Primeau
BUFFALO, N.Y. (CP) -- The Buffalo Sabres re-signed restricted free agent centre Wayne Primeau on Tuesday.He signed a one-year deal worth $525,000 and can earn an additional $100,000 in incentives.
Primeau, 23, had five goals and 13 assists in 67 games last season. He added three goals and four assists in 19 playoff games.
"He's very happy with the deal," said his agent Don Reynolds. "We're hoping that he launches on his playoff experience."
After signing Primeau, the Sabres still have six other restricted free agents: Stu Barnes, Curtis Brown, Miroslav Satan, Vaclav Varada, Jay McKee and Rhett Warrener.
