RADIO: 66CFRHEAD-TO-HEAD: The two teams did battle in their first game of the season Nov. 25 at the Saddledome with Cory Stillman scoring in overtime for a 2-1 win. INJURY REPORT: CALGARY -- D Steve Smith (elbow), LW Rene Corbet (foot) are out. C Jeff Shantz (ribs) is day-to-day. Chicago -- F Jean-Yves Leroux (groin) is out and LW Dean McAmmond (wrist) is day-to-day. NOTEWORTHY: Calgary is 3-1-1 in its last five games ... Expect G Fred Brathwaite to start his 12th game in the last 13 after being named the first star in the team's last game, a 3-2 win over Vancouver at home ... It's a different Chicago team, in spirit at least, that will face the Flames tonight. Since their last game, they've fired GM Bob Murray and brought Bob Pulford back from retirement as GM and coach. After a couple of impressive wins, the 'Hawks are coming off a narrow 2-1 loss in Buffalo in which the blew a 1-0 third-period lead ... Hawks G Jocelyn Thibault is expected to come off the injured list to start against the Flames in place of back-up Steve Passmore who had been good in his starts ... When Blackhawks' Doug Gilmour last week scored his 10th goal, he became just the 19th player in NHL history to reach double digits in goals for 17 or more consecutive seasons ... Chicago recalled Chris Herperger from Cleveland of the IHL to replace the injured Leroux ... Injured players Smith, Corbet and Shantz all joined the team on this road trip but only Shantz is expected to play. Corbet and Smith are here to work out with the team ... Defenceman Denis Gauthier returns to the lineup after missing the last two games with a suspension for his elbow on Rangers forward Tim Taylor ... Former Flame Michael Nylander is making an immediate impression with the 'Hawks after his trade from Tampa. He scored four goals in one game last week and followed that up with a two-assist performance. The question with Nylander has never been his potential, but rather his ability to persist in being an effective player once he is targeted by physical play ... 'Hawks are last in the Western Conference.
