Wednesday, October 27, 1999 Flames in dire straitsKANATA, Ont. (CP) -- The Flames head into tonight's game against the Ottawa Senators reeling from losses to lightweights Atlanta and Tampa Bay.Calgary GM Al Coates says he won't panic despite his team's 2-7-2 start. "It is a painful thing to keep saying, but this is about sticking to our plan," Coates told the Calgary Herald. "It is going to work. The only way we are going to be successful and be successful long-term, is to stick with it. We want to develop a good nucleus of players, 15 or so, who have been with the coaching staff and who all come together at once."
