Roy gets two days off

 DENVER (CP) -- Avalanche goalie Patrick Roy, who has started his team's last 14 games, is getting a two-day break.
 "We just wanted to rest Patrict," coach Bob Hartley explained after excusing Roy from practices. "He's been carrying the load for numerous games.
 "We just want to make sure we give him plenty of time to refuel."
 Forward Jeff Odgers, who underwent an appendectomy Jan. 31, is set to return to action Friday in Nashville. Scott Parker has been returned to the Hershey AHL farm.
