Tuesday, December 14, 1999 Hackett worried about his jobMONTREAL (CP) -- Jose Theodore has played seven of the last 11 games for the Canadiens, and that has veteran goalie Jeff Hackett worried."It's nothing against Jose," Hackett told the Montreal Gazette. "I understand the coach's decision, but at this stage of my career, I've got to play. I can't sit. He's a good goalie, I'm a good goalie -- but with my experience, I've got to play more. "Sitting for five games in a row was too much," he continued. "I'm still trying to work my way out of that." The numbers tell why Hackett didn't start. In his last six assignments, he's 1-4-1, during which he's allowed 20 goals. In Theodore's last seven assignments, he's 5-2-0, allowing only 12 goals. "I understand why Jose has been playing . . . he should be playing," said Hackett, "but if I'm going to pull out of this, I've got to play."
