Friday, November 19, 1999 Stevenson ordered to rest sore backMONTREAL (CP) -- Montreal Canadiens right-winger Turner Stevenson, who visited a specialist in Los Angeles this week, has been ordered to rest his sore back for a week.Dr. Robert Watkins told Stevenson to take one week of complete rest, then begin rehab work on the disc problem in his lower back, a team spokesman said. Stevenson is expected to resume practising in three weeks. The Canadiens, still reeling from their latest injury setbacks, are in Los Angeles tonight to face the Kings. On Thursday, the team learned first-line centre Saku Koivu will be out for at least three months after surgery to repair tears in his left shoulder. Left-winger Martin Rucinsky, who sat out a 6-1 loss in Nashville on Thursday night with dizziness from a blow to the head in a previous game, skated with the team on Friday and may be fit to return tonight.
