Hackett expected to play against Toronto

MONTREAL (CP) -- Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jeff Hackett is expected to start in goal tonight in Toronto against the Maple Leafs after missing only one game with a bruised shoulder and back spasms.
Hackett was injured when he was run over by Steve Webb while playing the puck alone the side boards during Montreal's 4-2 loss to the New York Islanders last Monday. He sat out a 2-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday night.
While Hackett returns, right-winger Dainius Zubrus joined the Canadiens' already lengthy injury list with a hip pointer.
Zubrus did not make the trip to Toronto, nor did fourth-line winger Aaron Asham, who will miss a second game with a sore back.
With Zubrus out, the Canadiens are expected to promote Martin Rucinsky to their top line with centre Saku Koivu and red-hot winger Brian Savage, who has nine goals in as many games this season.
The second line in practice had Craig Darby centring Scott Thornton and Trevor Linden.
The Canadiens returned goaltender Mathieu Garon and defenceman Stephane Robidas to Quebec of the AHL.
Defenceman Karl Dykhuis, acquired Wednesday from Philadelphia for future considerations, is to make his Canadiens' debut.
