    Roenick goes to Disney

VANCOUVER (CP) -- Coyotes centre Jeremy Roenick made his acting debut on the Disney Channel's kids show The Jersey last Saturday.
"I did it back in August," Roenick told the Arizona Republic. "They flew me out for the day and I was there for six or seven hours' filming. It was nice. I had my own trailer, TV and VCR, and a nice shower. I kind of played the movie star for a while.
"After we were done, the director asked me if I had even down this before. I told her commercials and stuff, but nothing this major. She said, 'Well, now we know what you'll be doing when you're finished playing hockey. You've got a future after hockey.' It was fun. I definitely enjoyed myself."
Roenick said he enjoyed working with the young actors on the show, but not everything went perfectly. He had trouble adjusting to the in-line skates he had to wear for the in-line hockey scenes.
"It was tough, and I fell a couple of times," Roenick said. "I didn't have very good skates. The wheels were whittled down pretty far, and every time I tried to make a tight turn, I went straight down. It's hard acting when you're skating. You want to do certain things and it makes it tough not to miss your cue. With roller skates on, it was even tougher."
