Lightning special teams lacking
TAMPA, Fla. (CP) -- The Tampa Bay Lightning have won only one of their first three games, and special teams problems have a lot to do with it.The Lightning are 1-for-15 on power plays and 7-for-11 on penalty kills.
"We just haven't played smart when killing penalties," veteran centre Dan Kesa told the St. Petersburg Times. "We've been a little tentative, we've not paid attention to our positioning, we haven't worked real hard."
