Forward placed on injured list
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- The Tampa Bay Lightning placed left wing Shawn Burr on the injured reserve list Friday with a groin pull and recalled defenseman Ben Clymer from Detroit of the IHL.Burr was hurt during the team's morning skate on Friday and afterward said he probably would be sidelined 1-2 weeks.
"It felt like somebody shot me," Burr said.
Burr has 181 goals and 440 points in 876 NHL games. Clymer is in his first professional season and has one goal in six games with Detroit.
