(CP) -- The Tampa Bay Lightning have dealt centre Alexandre Daigle to the New York Rangers for future considerations.Daigle, who went unclaimed in last week's waiver draft, had been assigned to the Lightning's AHL affiliate in Providence, R.I. on Friday. The six-foot centre, drafted first overall by the Ottawa Senators in 1993, had six goals and six assists in 32 games for the Lightning last season after his trade from Philadelphia via Edmonton on Jan. 29. The Senators had high hopes for Daigle, giving him a $12-million, five-year deal at the age of 18. He made the jump to the NHL directly from his junior club, but did not live up to expectations. The 24-year-old from Montreal is scheduled to earn $1 million US this season.
