Bodger upset he's not playingANAHEIM, Calif. (CP) -- The Canucks, who play the Mighty Ducks tonight, are reeling and injury-riddled, which has veteran defenceman Doug Bodger wondering why he can't find his way into the lineup.
"It just seems like the coach has lost confidence in me," said Bodger, who has sat 10 of the last 15 games and watched coach Marc Crawford play six rookies including defencemen Ryan Bonni and Zenith Komarniski in a loss to the Avalanche on Monday night. "I don't know why.
"I don't want to drag my lip around," Bodger told the Vancouver Province. "But I didn't sign here not to play. You don't play 1,000 games in this league for nothing. I know I can help this team.
"I knew when I signed (in the summer as a free agent) there'd be nights I wouldn't play. I was OK with that. But this is hard to handle."
