Canucks call up two from Syracuse
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) -- The Vancouver Canucks called up minor-leaguers Jarkko Ruutu and Zenith Komarniski on Friday.The Canucks also demoted rarely-used rookie center Artem Chubarov to their American Hockey League Syracuse Crunch farm club. Chubarov dressed for 14 games but saw little action, managing only one goal.
Ruutu, a left wing who has not played an NHL game, had two goals and six points in 16 games with the Crunch.
Komarniski, a defenseman who also has no NHL experience, had two goals and three points in 13 games with Syracuse.
