Canucks sign Aucoin
VANCOUVER (CP) -- The Vancouver Canucks re-signed their last restricted free agent today, agreeing to a two-year, $3.1 million US deal with defenceman Adrian Aucoin.Aucoin, who scored a career-high 23 goals last season, will earn $1.5 million this season and $1.6 million next year. The six-foot-two, 210-pound Ottawa native was the quarterback on the power-play, scoring 18 of his goals with the man advantage.
Aucoin, 26, made $857,670 last year.
Last week the Canucks signed defenceman Ed Jovanovski to a four-year, $9.2-million US contract.
