Lorne Lozinski, Percussion. `Bio...` With their unique party-rocking grooves and heavy downbeats, Fiddlers 3 will jump-start the atmosphere wherever they are. Performing traditional Canadian Celtic-folk music, this family group not only creates an irresistible sound that drives audiences into a frenzy but also leaves many astonished and speechless after witnessing the intensity, passion, and drive of these musicians. Consisting of 3 championship sibling fiddlers, an accordionist and one-of-a-kind percussionist, this family group's sound is inimitable. It was late 1996, when 3 young fiddlers, aged 9, 10, and 11, stood on a small church stage in Hamilton, with only a few short months of lessons. Coming to the attention of City of Hamilton festival organizers, Fiddlers 3 immediately established themselves as the bright new talent in the area. Their special brand of Celtic-folk music has the ability to appeal to a wide and diverse audience and they are an act that is eagerly sought after in area festivals, fairs, and conventions. Performing between 35 and 40 gigs a year, Fiddlers 3 have opened for, or been on stage with such artists as The Chieftains, Natalie MacMaster, the Barra MacNeils, Colin James and Alannah Miles. Various newspapers and television programs have featured this group and radio interviews are currently being scheduled around the school year.The release of Fiddlers 3 self titled debut CD in the late summer of 2001 not only was extremely well received but also came to the attention of an American website. Dermot O'Brien's http://www.celtic.com devoted a whole web page to Fiddlers 3 as featured artists.Vibrant energy and sparkle are the words to describe the music of Fiddlers 3. The tunes 'played straight' reflect the rich cultural heritage and strong Celtic music tradition in Canada. But hey, we are getting too serious.
