The CANOE Money Contest is provided solely for entertainment purposes or as a pastime. One prize only will be awarded (see Prize below).



No purchase is necessary. This contest is open only to legal residents of the Canada. Participants must be 16 years of age or older to be eligible to play. Employees of Netgraphe Inc. or any subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising, promotion or publicity agencies, or members of their immediate families, are not eligible to win.



One entry per person and/or e-mail address. Any additional entries submitted by the same contestant at a later time or date will nullify all of their entries. A contestant who submits more than one entry will not be eligible for prizes. If you have previously registered for SLAM! Speed Stick Hockey, CFL Pigskin Picks, NFL Touchdown or other CANOE ID products, there is no need to apply for a new registration. You can use the CANOE ID and password assigned to you at that time. If you have not played these games or do not already have a CANOE ID then YOU MUST apply for a new CANOE ID registration username. There is no fee to enter.



The contest will open on Monday, December 22, 2003. Eligible entries must be submitted by 12 noon EST on Friday, January 16, 2004.



There will be one (1) Grand Prize of a $200 gold coin from the Royal Canadian mint (ARV CDN$500.00). Actual value fluctuates with the price of gold. Grand Prize Winner will be drawn at random.

Any potential winner, no matter where they reside, must first correctly answer a skill-testing question to be administered with contest entry.

If the selected entrant has not reached the age of majority in the province in which they reside, a parent or guardian may accept the Prize.





The contest is open to residents of Canada only (excluding Quebec), age 16 and over, except employees and members of their immediate families, or persons domiciled within the same household, of CANOE, Netgraphe Inc., their advertising agencies, prize suppliers and independent contest organizers. By entering, contestants agree to abide by contest rules and decisions of the independent judging organization, which shall be final.

CANOE, Netgraphe Inc., and any organization associated with (directly or indirectly) CANOE, is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; failed, incomplete, misdirected, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, or any other situation that may limit a registered player's ability to compete in the CANOE Money Contest. CANOE reserves the right to share registration information with Colgate-Palmolive Canada Inc.

The Grand Prize winner will be notified by e-mail or telephone within two weeks of completion of the contest. Prize winners must reply within 10 days to remain eligible to receive their prize or the prize will be awarded to the next eligible contestant. Winners are responsible for all federal, provincial and local taxes levied on the prizes. Winners grant CANOE the right to use their names in advertising and promoting the game without any compensation. CANOE is responsible for notifying prizewinners and prize fulfillment. CANOE reserves the right to amend or alter the rules to the game at any time. Moreover, CANOE reserves the right to cancel the game at any time.

By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use of their name, city of residence, video image and/or photograph in any related publicity or Internet posting carried out by CANOE, without compensation. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an on-line entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the e-mail account.

By entering the contest, each entrant accepts these contest rules and regulations, which are subject to change without notice. By entering the contest, each entrant releases the sponsors and any other person or entity associated in any way with the contest, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents and their respective advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability arising in connection with the contest, including, without limitation, the selection of the eligible winner and the administration of the contest.

In any dispute, CANOE will decide the issue in a manner which, in its sole opinion, is the fairest to all parties concerned. All decisions by CANOE will be final and binding on all parties. By entering the contest, players agree to abide by these rules. Any violation of the rules is cause for voiding a player's entry. Contestants agree to hold CANOE and Netgraphe Inc. harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with this game.

The odds of winning will depend upon the number of entrants.
