TORONTO -- Police had been called to a laneway in northwest Toronto on after reports of threatening behaviour. A man armed with a shotgun fired, striking an officer in the arm. The sergeant is recovering in hospital.
A second officer returned fire, fatally wounding the suspect, police said.
