WASHINGTON -- Finance Minister Ralph Goodale says he warned his U.S. counterpart on the weekend that Canada will defend itself against an "unjustifiable" cattle ban by processing more cows at home. "We have already begun to take steps to defend ourselves by the transformation of the processing industry on the Canadian side," Goodale said after meeting Saturday with U.S. Treasury Secretary John Snow.
