MOOSE JAW, SASK. -- Two Snowbird pilots involved in a deadly crash over the Saskatchewan prairie last week were practising a challenging head-on loop manoeuvre when something went wrong, officials said yesterday. Maj. Ian McLean, the commanding officer of the famed aerobatic flying team and lead pilot, told reporters that Capt. Miles Selby and Capt. Chuck Mallett were involved in what is called a "co-loop" when they collided in mid-air.
